Ain't No Way In Hell I'm Buying Bonds Right Now
(New Video)

Don Kaufman here.
Nobody wants to go home long this weekend. I mean, come on - do you really think this is a great buying opportunity right now?
I don't.
So here's what happened - I actually took a position in the QQQ today when we rallied up to 531, looking for the Q's to get whacked and... winner winner chicken dinner.
That thing's already deep in the money on a $3 wide spread. I'll take that all day long.
But here's what's really got my attention, okay?
We just broke back into the volatility box on the SPX - that 6011 to 5850 range I've been talking about at nauseum.
And right now? We're trading in what I call an air pocket. There's literally nothing to latch onto between here and 5900, okay? When you're in these areas, you just drop and drop very quickly.
Next stop? Probably 5900, maybe below.
Now here's what really grabbed me today:
• Why the VIX traded over 1.1 million contracts (mostly calls) - big money is going duck and cover
• The volatility futures move that shocked me - and I trade these extensively
• Why I ain't buying bonds until they crack 110 - what happened Friday breaks every rule
Look, the VVIX is through the roof - that's massive hedging activity from really big money, okay? And bonds? In the middle of a fear trade, we're seeing sellside activity instead of flight-to-safety. That's not healthy, people.
Oil could change margin requirements tonight - both longs and shorts get blown out of positions. It's getting real out there.
Next week: $130 expected move crammed into four trading days. This week was $90 across five days.
Strap in - more volatility coming, no question about that.
To your success,
Don Kaufman
